Our Secret Ingredient

Terroir – Our sandy loam soils nourish our vines which started as cuttings from the famed Chateau Beaucastel in Chateauneuf du Pape, France.  Our estate 18 acre vineyard property is meticulously maintained by our vineyard crew, pruning just before bud break, shoot thinning, leaf removal and crop thinning at verasion.  Our warm summer days and cool evenings balance the temperatures while encouraging ripeness.

The Delta Breeze

The Lodi wine region is known for some very warm summer days, but the Delta Breeze kicks in during the evenings, cooling down the grapes.  Our warm days help to ripen the grapes and the Delta Breeze prevents them from overheating during the summer.

Lady Acquiesce Vineyard

Founded in 2008, our estate vineyard began with French clones of Grenache Blanc and Grenache Noir followed by Roussanne, Viognier, Picpoul Blanc and more Grenache Blanc in 2009.  Due to customer demand, more plantings in 2015 included new varietals Clairette Blanche and Bourboulenc.  Acquiesce Vineyard was the first vineyard to plant Bourboulenc in the United States.  Our vineyard is managed by Round Valley Ranches under the Lodi Rules certification.

More About Lady Acquiece

Lodi Rules

We follow the LODI RULES for Sustainable Winegrowing. LODI RULES is California’s original sustainable viticulture program and truly began from the ground up, with grape growers deciding it was important for the future of the Lodi region. LODI RULES promotes winegrape grower adoption of over 100 sustainability practices, which are called “Standards”. The LODI RULES Standards are the most thoroughly and rigorously vetted set of sustainability practices in California’s viticulture industry. All Standards have been peer reviewed by world renowned scientists, members of the academic community, and environmental organizations. When you drink a glass of wine made from LODI RULES certified grapes, you are supporting a farmer, a vintner, and an entire agricultural community that embraces their responsibility to care for the environment and their neighbors.
