Lady Acquiesce Vineyard
The impact of terroir cannot be overstated. The Mokelumne river soils, the topography, seasonal climate, including cool breezy summer evenings provide the river stone minerality, citrus, tropical fruit and blossom notes on the nose and palate. We Acquiesce to these beautiful forces with as little interference as possible.
A Special Place
Our 18 acre Lady Acquiesce Vineyard is a very special place. Located at sea level and formerly river bottom along the Mokelumne River, our well drained soils consist of Tokay sandy loam quite rich in organic material of alluvial original (basically, finely crushed granite washed down from the Sierra Nevada over the past 100,000 years). We are situated between the lower foothills of the Sierra Nevada mountain range to the east, and the lower elevation, freshwater marshland of the Sacramento-San Joaquin River Delta and Carquinez Strait to the west.
