Our blanc de blanc méthode champenoise sparkling Grenache Blanc has exquisite balance and freshness. It is mineral driven and crisp with aromas of green apple, pear and guava. With flavors of lemon, lychee and a hint of brioche on the palate, this elegant dry sparkling is an uplifting experience.
Our Grenache Blanc grapes were harvested from our vineyard which is located in the Mokelumne River AVA of the Lodi Appellation. Our grape clones come from the famous French Château de Beaucastel Winery in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region by way of Tablas Creek. The cool nighttime breezes from the Mokelumne River nearby give the grapes ripe, fruity flavors with excellent balance.
All of our grapes are hand-picked and immediately pressed as whole clusters to capture the fresh, flavorful Grenache Blanc character. The grapes were harvested in the early morning to keep acidity at its highest, providing the vibrancy in the wine. The juice is then cool fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to highlight the pure fruit expressions. February 2019 tirage with disgorgement July 2020.
