TASTING NOTES
Reminiscent of honeyed tangerine and peach, this wine is crisp and dry, yet round on the palate. Aroma of violets, followed by a long, dry finish.
VINEYARD NOTES
We follow the Lodi Rules for sustainable grapegrowing. Harvested in the Mokelumne River AVA of the Lodi Appellation, our grape clones are Tablas Creek cuttings from the famous French Château de Beaucastel Winery in the Châteauneuf-du-Pape region. Our climate is very similar to that of the Southern Rhône with cool nighttime breezes from the Mokelumne River nearby giving our grapes their ripe, fruity flavors with excellent balance.
WINEMAKER NOTES
All of our grapes are hand-picked and immediately pressed as whole clusters to capture the fresh, flavorful Viognier character. The grapes were harvested in the early morning to keep acidity at its highest, providing the vibrancy in the wine. The juice is then cool fermented in temperature controlled stainless steel tanks to highlight the pure fruit expressions

2022 – 92 pts – International Women’s Wine Competition
“Aquiesce Winery & Vineyards 2020 Lodi Mokelumne River Viognier: Susan Tipton’s masterful hand with white grapes traditionally associated with France’s Rhone Valley was recognized with remarkable consistency at the 2022 San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competitions. Four of her white varietal wines topped their classes, with her mellifluous 2020 Viognier going all the way to win the competition’s award for best white wine on the strength of its honeysuckle perfume and tuneful suggestions of peach orchard. It outdistanced 16 other nominated whites for the top honor in the final round of voting.”
The sweet beets, salty almonds and tart goat cheese are a great pairing for our Viognier.
